To be completely frank, I am not a gym person; the machines that have everyone's sweat, the new face mask requirement, the lugging yourself to the gym. I can maybe get myself motivated for a few days, but definitely not long term. However, I have been recently been doing at-home workouts in my garage and have found it to be so fun! 👏
Here's everything you need to turn any area of your house into your own personal gym🏋️♂️; everything I am linking is on the affordable side, so go crazy and splurge on all your fitness essentials! My fave items are definitely the yoga mat, since it's so perfect for hard floors and are thicker than most yoga mats (I'll leave a thin yoga mat link here just in case you want one as well!), the resistance booty bands which are just so cute and durable, and the different weights. I currently am using a pair of 5 lbs weights, a pair of 8 lbs weights, and two different sets of ankle weights: a 3 lbs each and a 4 lbs each.
As many of you know from my Instagram, I also do use the NordicTrack Treadmill. It's on the expensive side, but it honestly makes running feel less like a chore and trust me, I am not a fan of running, so this is high praise. The treadmill does come with its own routes already set up in the system and the large screen offers such great views of the different places you are running in. It's so much better than your average treadmill as you get to explore the mountains of Fuji right at home.
When workout at home, there are some other essentials, including: AirPods since they have no cords and stay in your ears without hassle (more affordable version), a water bottle which I usually buy from Amazon, Target or Starbucks, (linking a few here that I love: GiNT Stainless Steel, Reduce Stainless Steel, Room Essentials Stainless Steel) and an Apple Watch to measure your workout and heart rate (more affordable version).
What are your go-tos for working out?💪 I'm so excited to use all my new gear and start getting a bit more toned. Let me know if you lovelies would want a blog post on different exercises to do with your new equipment. Let's get fit for summer ladies!🤩
