What to Pack on a Winter Vacay

Annual winter trips are so much fun, especially if you can see snow, but packing is always a hassle. Bring the absolute necessities is key to NOT over packing and keeping your luggage weight under 50 lbs.🧳

Daytime/Night Exploring Outfits

Outfit Inspo: Wether you head out during the daytime or explore the town at night, having some warm but flattering outfits are essential for your trip. Often times you want to pack items that can match with each other. Usually on a 1-2 week vacay I pack 5-6 tops, 2 bottoms, 3 boots, and 2 under shirts. Plus, of course a winter coat!

Linking some cute outfits here and will post the looks I wear on my trip to Utah. Making blog posts about my trip and will link here when it is live: lookbook & travel diaries!

Lounge Wear

So necessary if you are planning on staying indoors often. Depending on how many days you plan on staying in is how many comfy looks you should pack. 2-3 lounge outfits seem to be the perfect balance. Some of these looks I even owned and packed, stay tuned to see them in my Utah lookbook!

Ski/Snow looks

Made a whole blog post about it linking it here! Works for skiers and snowboards alike since the outfits and equipment are similar! Definitely recommend wearing your ski pants at least when going to play in the snow, helps to keep your body from getting wet and cold.

Cozy Pijamas

Cozy and fluffy pjs are a must when staying where it is cold and could snow. Linking the pjs I got for Christmas that I am packing for my trip. A must is to pair with super fluffy socks, linking my new fave socks that are the most fluffy socks I have ever worn!

Slippers and chancletas (flip flops) are also needed for walking around where you stay. (Literally own all of these, check out my lookbook to see them!)

Also linked my new obsession which are these bow headbands used for keeping your hair back for skincare and face wash.

Toiletries

When it comes to traveling, you want to pack the basics of your skincare, makeup, and hair care. Changing your skincare can cause a flair up in your skin on your trip, so purchasing travel sized is a really good option.

Skincare: Here are the skin care products I am currently using and loving. Since the toner I use is huge, I bought a little bottle (like a hand sanitizer bottle) from Target and poured just under an ounce. The rest of my skin care was easy to pack. Especially in the cold weather, you want to pack very moisturizing and refreshing skincare.

Makeup: As for makeup, compacting is the best method! For example, getting a face palette instead of several pots of separate bronzer, blush, and highlight. Also, instead of packing a full sized tube of mascara and lipstick, pack mini ones or even tester tubes (you get them for free too).

Hair: Lastly, travel sized is your hair's bff! Love the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner and these mini ones are perfect for your travels.

Have fun shopping and prepping for your next winter trip!💕

Much love,

Lauren
